Just below Carn Bugail stands the Rohi Stone. It is said that it 'was' an inscribed stone, but miners from the early 1900's are said to have vandalised it. The inscriptions can just be seen but are illegible. |

Legends / Stories |
The story goes that the Rohi Stone marks the site of buried treasure. "Ill fate" is said to befall anyone who dares to dig for the treasure. Once upright, it now stands in this leaning position because someone attempted to dig up the fabled treasure, but the stone fell on his head and knocked him out, so he left it be. |
