One of the first standing stones we found, and has to be one of the most impressive. As with many standing stones, Maen Llia is an extremely captivating monument. It’s as though it casts a spell, compelling you to stay. We often visit the site and sometimes go out of our way just to pass by. It never fails to impress us. It is said that it is (was) inscribed with 'Ogham', but the passage of time has not been an easy one for the stone for there is no evidence of this today - shame really |
