This stone is can be quite easily found a few metres away from the B4358, Beulah to Newbridge on Wye road, just passed Llanafan Fawr. It can easily be seen from the road to your left as you head for Newbridge, using your Land Ranger for reference. The quaint monument is nestled near a tree and stands at a height of just over 6 feet by 5 feet wide at its base with a depth of just over 3 feet. We are oblivious to the significance of the monument due to the fact there is no reference made to it of which we are aware. Therefore it simply remains to be one of the lonely stones to which no legends are attached, unless of course the tales be lost in the mists of time |
