MRW would like to thank the Glan Usk Estate property manager for allowing us access to this majestic stone (appointment made well in advance of visit). Words cannot describe this completely overwhelming monument, which stands within the idyllic surroundings of the beautifully tranquil Glan Usk Estate; the entire experience of visiting this magnificent monolith is truly amazing. Situated within an avenue of huge trees, just above the River Usk, stands the mighty Fish Stone. Once again permission from the Glan Usk Estate is required before visiting the site, and we are extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to see this monument. Pictures do not in any way do this stone justice, it simply has to be seen, first hand. It is plain to see where this stone got its name from, the picture below clearly shows its fish-like shape. This stone is possible the tallest we have visited to date |
