This site is one of two sites in very close proximity of each other, this one sits atop a field, with the second, Fostyll South, less than 100 yards further down. We did not have a suitable measuring tape when we visited the site, so we hat to “step” out the dimensions, which resulted in this site being approximately 43 yards long by 20 yards wide.

The chamber in the picture is the more visible; the mound obscures further chambers. The site was excavated around 1923 where human remains were discovered, some of which were the remains of children, along with the remains of various animals.

Finding the site is relatively easy.

From the centre of Talgarth follow a narrow road for quite a while, do not turn off, before too long it starts to get steep and you will come to two houses on your left.  Just passed the houses the road climbs left then right, as it straightens the monuments can clearly be seen high up in the field behind the houses.  Permission should be sought before approaching the monuments, as they are on private property.  Well worth a visit, we spent quite some time at this site, and hope to return again soon, and try to get some better pictures. We would like to thank the land owner for allowing us access
