Although this is only rated as a
three, it is still worth considering a visit. It is initially rather hard to
find as it is tucked in a field behind houses and a garage and is only
visible through the gate alongside
the A487, just as you enter Dinas Cross. Unfortunately,
after parking the car, climbing the fence and trudging up through the field,
a couple of hundred yards or so, we discovered we had left the measuring
tape etc in the car. * So we concluded that the stone measured somewhere in
the region of 2.4 metres, by about 1.2 to 1.5 metres wide with a depth of
about 500mm. These measurements are totally a case of guesswork just to give an idea of the size of the monument. Well worth a visit as it is more or less on the main road. |
