This stone is quite easy to find, and not too much of an obstacle to get to.
From the A483, at Beulah, take the B4358, heading for Newbridge-on-Wye. Follow this road for a while as it climbs, then you drop down a long hill with an old red phone box at the bottom, on your right. You need to take the next left turn; there is a small signpost; opposite the turning saying “Capel Rhos”. Follow this narrow winding road for a while until you come to a crossroads; here you will need to take the right hand turn; just before another old red phone box, nestled in the trees ahead on your left.
Now take your time as you pass a house set back on your right. The road starts to drop and the stone can easily be seen across the fields to your left. You have to park up and cross two fields to get to the monument, but it isn’t far, just a couple of minutes or so.
The stone stands on a North/South alignment and dowsing suggests that it stands on a leyline. Just to the North West of the stone are two small stones, although we believe they are of no significance to the monument itself. The stone stands in a tranquil setting, quite exposed in open land, with easy access its well worth checking out.
